SkilFreek Privacy Policy

The following discloses the privacy practices for SkilFreek, the app provided by Theory 168 LLC via skilfreek.com, on the App Store for iPhone and iPad, and on Google Play. This privacy policy applies solely to information collected by SkilFreek. It will inform you of the following:

  1. What personally identifiable information is collected from you through SkilFreek, how it is used, and with whom it may be shared.
  2. What choices are available to you regarding the use of your data.
  3. The security procedures in place to protect the misuse of your information.
  4. How you can correct any inaccuracies in the information.

Information Collection and Use
Theory 168 is the sole entity that has database-level access to the information and data collected on SkilFreek. We only collect and store information and data that you voluntarily give us by email, during your sign up for SkilFreek, and during your use of SkilFreek. We will not sell or rent this information to anyone.

In order to use SkilFreek, a user must first complete the registration form. During registration, a user is required to provide an email address. Your email address is used to contact you in accordance with this privacy policy. Additionally, your email address is used as your personal identification for other SkilFreek users to manage and view their group membership, including searching by your email address to invite you to a group, and viewing your email address and role in the group membership section.

Unless you opt-out, we may contact you via email to tell you about changes to SkilFreek, new products or services, or changes to this privacy policy.

If you contact us by email, we will use your information to respond to you regarding the reason you contacted us. We will not share your information with any third party outside of our organization.

Your Access to and Control Over Information
You may opt out of any future communication from us at any time. You can do the following at any time by contacting us via email info@theory168.com:

  • See what data we have about you, if any.
  • Change/correct any data we have about you.
  • Have us delete any data we have about you.
  • Express any concern you have about our use of your data.

Content
SkilFreek contains content generated by the SkilFreek user commmunity. Theory 168 does not endorse any SkilFreek users or content of any sort, nor is it responsible for SkilFreek content. As such, SkilFreek content may include occasional graphic, offensive, or inappropriate language, links, and images. We rely on our users to patrol the SkilFreek community and maintain the safety and appropriateness of SkilFreek content. Please immediately report any content you deem graphic, offensive, or inappropriate by emailing info@theory168.com.

Also, please be aware that we are not responsible for the content or privacy practices of sites that are linked to in SkilFreek content. We encourage SkilFreek users to be cautious when they leave our site and to read the privacy statements of any other site that collects personally identifiable information.

Cookies
We use "cookies" on this site. A cookie is a piece of data stored on your device to help us improve your access to SkilFreek and identify repeat visitors to our site. Our sole use of cookies is to store your login authorization; this reduces the number of times you have to login to SkilFreek. As a result, please be sure to logout of SkilFreek when you are on a public device and finished using the app.

Security
We take precautions to protect your information and data. Your SkilFreek access credentials, private groups, and 'private' procedures are digitally stored and protected from from unauthorized access. However, please note that 'protected' and 'public' groups and procedures may, by design, have some or all of their data visible to other SkilFreek users; it is your responsibility as an admin of such a group or proceudre to apply appropriate visibility settings. Also please keep in mind that no SkilFreek group, procedures, and steps (photos) data can ever be completely safe from unauthorized access, unintentional sharing, targeted attack, or general theft. Therefore, we recommmend not storing information in SkilFreek which you consider sensitive or secret.

Wherever we collect payment information, such as credit card data, that information is encrypted and transmitted to us in a secure way. You can verify this by looking for a lock icon in the address bar and looking for "https" at the beginning of the address of the SkilFreek.com web page. We do not store payment information in our databases. We rely on accredited payment services to handle the processing and ongoing storage (if any) of your payment information.

While we use encryption to protect sensitive information transmitted online, we also protect your information offline. Only employees who need the information to perform a specific job (for example, billing or customer service) are granted access to personally identifiable information. The computers/servers in which we store personally identifiable information are kept in a secure environment.
